About the event
Did you ever consider a possibility of becoming a pilot? If you are a female, chances of that are very slim. In fact, women represent a mere 7% of all licensed pilots in the U.S., while the demand for more pilots is at its highest. The job of a pilot is rewarding and gratifying one. So why aren't there more women in aviation?
The answer lies in a simple status quo, a belief that piloting is a porfession better suited for men, because they are 'better' at it, which is completely made up and unfounded. Data shows that women are just as good at flying planes as men are. In fact, women were eight percent faster than men when switching between multiple tasks—a necessary skill when flying a plane.
As our society continues to move toward progress and equality, more women reclaim their right to take advantage of amazing opportunities…
